Job Summary

The Facility Management QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for monitoring the quality of maintenance, renovation, and construction activities across facility operations. The role involves conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, documenting quality reports, supporting audits, and working closely with engineers, contractors, and vendors to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct daily QA/QC inspections on facility maintenance, renovation, and construction works, including civil, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with approved drawings, technical specifications, and recognized standards such as ISO 9001, ASHRAE, NEMSA, and SON.
  • Inspect incoming materials, equipment, consumables, and spare parts before approval for use.
  • Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Witness and document testing, commissioning, calibration, and performance verification of facility systems.
  • Prepare daily inspection reports, quality documentation, checklists, and test records.
  • Track non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Maintain QA/QC records, registers, and documentation in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor contractor and vendor performance to ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Promote HSE compliance, good housekeeping practices, and right-first-time execution to reduce defects, rework, and downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineers, maintenance supervisors, contractors, and service providers to improve overall service quality.
  • Investigate customer complaints and quality defects, ensuring they are resolved within agreed timelines.

Requirements

Interested applicants should possess:

  • HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Facility Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC inspection or facility management.
  • Professional certification in QA/QC Inspection or Facility Management (IFMA/BIFM) will be an added advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, engineering drawings, quality control procedures, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and QA/QC documentation.
  • Strong analytical, observation, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a keen eye for detail.
